School for Missionaries

27 January 2015

We entered the Missionary Training Center Monday, January 26 along with about 60 other senior missionaries. The couples in our group are going to places such as Durbin, South Africa, Belarus, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Marshall Islands, Bermuda, Cambodia etc. For 1 couple this is their 4th mission!  Our first day was orientation and meeting the MTC presidency, a great experience.  We are staying a short drive away in Y View, a very comfortable BYU apartment. (It is nice to have a couch and a fridge.)

Today we practiced inviting investigators to pray, read the Book of Mormon, come to church and be baptized. Part of inviting is bearing testimony, so there is a wonderful Spirit in our classes.  Tonight was the devotional. I could really feel The Lord’s love as the very large choir of missionaries sang “I Feel My Savior’s Love”. That was followed with a powerful talk given by Elder Kacher encouraging us to become consecrated missionaries. It is a privilege to be here.  We are surrounded by solid, dedicated, and committed missionaries!

Here are pictures of us at the large map in the entrance hall and outside between classroom buildings.
