Sweet Experience

31 January 2015

While in the Missionary Training Center, we had a marvelous experience with the Spirit prompting us what to teach. We planned a lesson we thought matched their needs. They were offended when they were released from teaching Institute without any notice. Dave shared how difficult it was for him when he was released as bishop. He told of feeling insignificant But when we were actually teaching the less active couple, I knew we should relate the story of Pahoran forgiving Captain Moroni. We talked about the scathing and condemning letter Moroni sent to Pahoran. We discussed how we would respond if we received a letter like that. Then we had them read Alma 61: 9 And now, in your epistle you have censured me, but it mattereth not; I am not angry, but do rejoice in the greatness of your heart.  It matched perfectly with the needs of the couple we were teaching!  We experienced the promise in D&C 84:85, “and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man.”
