There is a beautiful walk from the Sydney Opera House to the Art Museum. We joined some Chinese Branch members and enjoyed the walk on a Saturday morning.
Early spring blossoms.
The Botanical Garden , one of our favorite spots and downtown Sydney. It was chilly when we started, but we soon shed our jackets and sweaters.
The Opera House is on a peninsula that creates the harbour.
We are about half the way to the art museum. The whole walk took us about 2 1/2 hours.
Our walk was a Chinese Branch activity. Brother Yang and Bovey insisted on carrying our bag of jackets and water for me.
Now we are walking through the garden toward the city. The spires are a cathedral, I think St Mary’s.
Sister and Elder Kinghorn, Bovey and Brother Cou.
Beautiful Sydney. The building on the left like Space Needle is above a huge mall and has an expensive restaurant at the top.
We made it to the art museum!
Front of Art Museum.
We walked through the city to a Korean buffet restaurant. some Interesting architecture we saw on the way.
Not very many 3 story buildings left.
The Kwoks at the Korean restaurant. There was a hot plate at every table for Chinese medicine: soup with herbs, vegetables and bones (for marrow).
Elder Kinghorn, Bovey and President Fung at the restaurant. Some of the food was very familiar. I had a big helping of Waldorf salad!
